The 8th Annual "Cure for Mito" Auction

Please join us Saturday, September 11, 2010 for our annual auction and dinner at the spectacular Willows Lodge in Woodinville, Washington to support a very special cause - supporting the efforts of our team of mito specialists here at Seattle Children's and all the families with children impacted by mitochondrial disease. The evening will begin with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails in the garden while listening to live entertainment. The cocktail reception will be followed by our acclaimed four-course dinner prepared by Willows Lodge Executive Chef Bobby Moore and his talented culinary staff. Each course will be accompanied by a selection of wines provided by JM Cellars. A live auction conducted by auctioneer April Brown will add to the entertainment and the evening will conclude with dancing out under the stars. Tickets will be available in July. The cost will be $125 a person. For additional information on the auction, please contact Jill Herczog at j.herczog@nwmito-research.org or Ashley Farrington at a.farrington@nwmito-research.org.

On Friday, September 11, 2009, the Mitochondrial Research Guild hosted its 7th annual 'Cure for Mito' Auction and Dinner at the spectacular Willows Lodge in Woodinville, Washington. This special evening was enjoyed by 180 guests on what was truly a special evening that was made perfect by the summer like weather in a beautiful setting, the wonderful entertainment and the fabulous food and wine.

The evening began with guests enjoying hors d'oeuvres and cocktails in the garden while listening to the sounds of jazz quartet Stephanie Porter and Friends. The cocktail reception was followed by our acclaimed four-course dinner prepared by Willows Lodge Executive Chef Bobby Moore and his talented culinary staff. Each course was accompanied by a selection of wines provided by JM Cellars. The live auction was conducted by none other than auctioneer April Brown and the evening ended with dancing to one of Seattle's hottest party bands, Cool-Ade.

Thanks to the generous support of our auction attendees, donors and sponsors, the guild raised over $175,000 at the event, bringing our total proceeds raised over the past 7 years to over $1.2 million for Seattle Children's! These funds are being used to support our efforts at Seattle Children's to one day have a Center for Metabolic and Mitochondrial Diseases and we are grateful to all of our supporters over the last few years that have made this all possible.
